Pricing questions
- Is there really no monthly fee?
- Correct. The free plan is 3% per sale — no monthly fee, no setup cost, no contract. You only ever pay when you make a sale, and nothing at all until your first one.
- What does the 3% apply to?
- It's 3% of each sale, taken automatically at checkout. If you refund a customer, we refund our fee at the same time — automatically. Standard Stripe card-processing fees are separate and paid directly to Stripe.
- Can I pass the cost on to my customers?
- Optionally. In Settings → Payments you can add a Service fee (flat $, percentage, or both) that shows as a "Service fee" line at checkout. It's off by default, and every cent you collect goes to you — not to Zillo. Common on tickets, appointments and bookings where a service or booking fee is standard; usually skipped for gift cards or retail.
- Do I need Zillo Pro?
- No. Every core feature is free — storefronts, all seven product types, discount codes and customer reviews. Pro is an optional monthly add-on for extras like a custom domain, Klaviyo, conversion pixels and developer tools. Your 3% rate never changes whether or not you have Pro.
- When am I charged?
- Never until your first sale. There's no card required to sign up and build your store — you can have a working storefront before you pay a cent.
- Can I get a lower rate at high volume?
- Yes. High-volume sellers, multi-location brands and marketplaces can qualify for custom rates below the standard 3%. Get in touch and we'll put together a quote for your business.
- Can I cancel anytime?
- Anytime. There are no contracts. Cancel Pro whenever you like from your dashboard, and the free plan has nothing to cancel — you simply stop selling if you ever want to.
